  Hummel Music Box Chick Girl 1988 New in the Original Box! First Edition - The Four Seasons Series Chick Girl Music Box. This handcarved music box, produced by Anri for W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik, is a blend of the finest craftsmanship of both companies. The Chick Girl Music Box is the first in a four-part series celebrating nature's four seasons, the M. I. Hummel motif "Chick Girl" exemplifies Spring. Goebel's master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek and chief master sample painter Guenther Neubauer journeyed to Italy to supervise this new interpretation of their creativity into the fine maple of the carving. The ulitmate result has the full approval of the Convent of Siessen, which holds SIster M.I. Hummel legacy in trust. A 36-note Swiss movement by Reuge plays the delightful "Voices of Spring". The movement is goldplated and leaves half of the inside of the box for one's personal treasures. Control fo the movement is accomplished through a switch on the side of the box. "Voices of Spring" will play to its consclusion whether the box is open or closed. Only 10,000 of these music boxes were made. The procelian plaque on the inside cover quarantees that this music box, created by Goebel and produced by Anri, is an important and authenic addition to a collection. The Music Box is becoming Rare.
